kansasskydiver 0 #1 June 13, 2005 Drunken talking a couple weeks ago with a buddy of mine at the bars, as we exchanged our war stories and what not, he asks the question "What's the most courageous thing that you've ever done. That required the most willpower and restraint." I had no response at the time though now thinking back on my life and things I've done, I called him back with my answer "Willingly watching and letting someone you love leave because it had to be." To me, that was the hardest and most courageous act of willpower I've ever displayed. Anyway, if you care to share, go for it, should be an interesting topic<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! cocheese 0 #2 June 13, 2005 I live next door to a woman i was sort of engaged to marry. Her/our dog still comes over to visit. I love this yellow lab that i helped raise.The new husband over there doesn't like me to even pet the dog, let alone take Maddy for a boat ride. This has been going on for 8 years. Just a little will power to not get mad about this.She is fine but everyone i know, can't stand this guy.Went Veggie and nicotine free about 18 months ago. Wasn't that hard. But the most Courageous thing I've EVER seen was: 6 years ago in Russia when we were getting ready to drive off from the orphanage with our new sons... the youngest, who was 6 at the time stood for a moment looking at the building that had been his home for the past 4 years... To no one, under his breath he said to himself... "I'll be okay" Here's a kid leaving everything he's ever known, going off to who knows where, with some people he doesn't even know...that don't speak his language and wear funny clothes... And this brave little guy is secure enough in himself to...Be Okay! KevinMcGuire 0 #8 June 13, 2005 I Climbed 2000' up 60 degree rocky slope with multiple shear sections on my hands and knees because I injured both of my ankles and both of my feet. (semi-adult anyway) Another thing that was REALLY cool... As you can see form the Pic, the clothing the kids have there is old and donated stuff from everywhere... On the first day we 'met' the kids...the oldest boy was wearing an old tee shirt from the 1980 Nationals... I was there and have the same shirt!
