I think they called the warning off but I'm trying to watch the news to find something. EEK! I'm opening my best wine! (AP) - A major earthquake struck Tuesday night about 130 kilometres off the coast of northern California, prompting a tsunami warning along the Pacific coast of North America. The 7.0-magnitude quake struck at about 7:50 p.m. local time southwest of the coastal community Crescent City, Calif., said the U.S. Geological Survey website. A tsunami warning was in effect from the California-Mexico border north to Vancouver Island. Residents were being evacuated from low-lying areas of Crescent City, KCBS radio reported. Earthquakes are easy to deal with - wake up, grab the sides of the bed, hang on for 5-8 seconds, look around to see if the pictures are still on the walls, go back to sleep. Unlike hurricanes - stress for one to two weeks while they figure out where it might hit, pack up the important shit and bail town if it's gonna hit where you are, come back and not be allowed to buy beer for weeks afterward even if the damage is minor...
