CanuckInUSA 0 #1 March 16, 2005 A friend has asked me what is a good free service for uploading electronic pictures to. I have heard of SnapFish, but I thought I'd let the experts (DZ.COMers) chime in. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

NWFlyer 2 #3 March 16, 2005 I'm a big fan of www.flickr.com. But it's just a storage site at the moment - if you want one where people can order prints, you might consider Ofoto or Snapfish."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
Chrissay 0 #4 March 16, 2005 I use www.ofoto.com I really like it, it is a Kodak company and I like how it allows people to order copies o photos for themselves.
lummy 4 #5 March 16, 2005 if you use ofoto, or any other ephoto place, please make sure to read the fine print. The deal with ofoto is that you have to order something from them every so often or risk having your photos deleted. There was some lady who put her wedding pics on ofoto and lost them all. In their defense, they (ofoto) sent e-mails to the lady telling her but the e-mail was to an old work address :(I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. PhreeZone 20 #6 March 16, 2005 Flickr is the bomb, ordering will be coming soon and it will let you select from various printers from the sounds of it. Currently its a storage site but its fully indexed and public so you can search everyones gallery. Plus its got some cool tie ins with things like desktops and other things.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

NWFlyer 2 #8 June 15, 2005 Bumping this thread because I have two free 1-year flickr "pro" accounts to give away by July 1. If you think you could use something like this, send me a PM and let me know. I'd like to give it to someone who takes a lot of photos and is looking for a storage solution so that it actually gets used. Check out flickr at www.flickr.com. (Greenies, I hope this isn't considered advertising...)
