wolfriverjoe 1,523 #26 November 20, 2008 I had an FXC in my early student rigs. We set them at 1250-1500 ft. We were told that they had a +/- of 500ft. I can't say this is correct, just what I was told as a student."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." BlindBrick 0 #27 November 20, 2008 QuoteDo you know how an FXC works? There are no electronics inside to arm the thing, Well enough to know that the lag you mentioned is minimal. On repeated chamber tests, I've seen FXC's fire in under a second after reaching the firing altittude. That includes the chamber test I ran when I was repacking the reserve on the unit that fired on me after I was fully open. Also, I never said that there were electronics in a 12000. I would point out though that there were mechanical arming mechanisms decades before there were ever any electronic ones. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it."
