Sangi 0 #1 November 16, 2008 I'm really interested in these two containers. I'm considering buying one of them in the future (it will be a long time before that, but still, just thinking). What do you think of them? What would you choose for mainly Freefly? I have a lot of people in my dropzone (Pociunai, Lithuania) using Advance containers and no one has a Voodoo here. Only yesterday back here in UK I had the chance to see a Voodoo in person, it looks great... dragon2 2 #2 November 16, 2008 AFAIK, Voodoo is more expensive, and only works well with one size canopy. If you plan on sticking to one size canopy for a while I think the voodoo may be the better rig but the advance is nice too and will serve you better for longer (one or 2 downsizes). ciel bleu, Saskia

I've had from CRW Storm 150 with dacron lines to eliptical 120 with skinny lines in my VooDoo sized for a 135. It is knowing how to stuff a container. It's easy to ruin the lines though, a voodoo looks "bad" pretty easy if canopy size is off, and a too-small main esp. on a small rig makes the sides come in over the reserve a lot, that may have more consequences than just bad looks. Like I said, a voodoo wouldn't be my first choice if switching canopies around a lot (which I tend to lo a lot of LOL), most other rigs work better for that. ciel bleu, Saskia

Have a new Voodoo II, and it has had several canopy sizes in it. At the moment, I'm jumping a 150 Sabre2, and while it's a tad bumpy, it's less so than most containers I see out there made for a "wide variety of containers." Fits my Storm 150 absolutely perfectly, and fits a 135 Katana like expected. Saw one today at Eloy (same container) with a 120 in it that looked sweet as well, although the BOC seemed to sit higher than I'd personally like. Maybe you haven't seen a real Voodoo? Out of nearly a dozen rigs tried on and jumped, the Voodoo was my pick as most comfortable, best for my needs. Rigging Innovations simply rocks the world at customer service. They're the L&B of container manufacturers in that department.

What are the pros and cons? pro for Advance : first part of the sentence That would mean people can help you out more easily with gear they are familiar with, and your riggers too.scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
dragon2 2 #10 November 17, 2008 The few voodoos i've seen here (what the heck is a real voodoo? are there fake ones? lol they're kinda hard to miss), not all looked that well and the ones that didn't didn't have their original canopy size in them. Also spoke to a rep when I was shopping for my rig, got the same story: if you switch canopies (sizes) around a lot don't buy a voodoo. I think this is worse for the smaller rigs than the bigger ones, as the sides of the rig come in too far over the reserve container for my comfort when the canopy is on the small side. There's not that many voodoos around here as they're expensive, most are a few years old maybe they've changed something recently, wouldn't know. Just telling you what I've seen and heard. ciel bleu, Saskia
