I just signed...

Recommended Posts

A job offer from the company that I have been contracting at the last 15 months. I've been contracting since I lost my job of 23 years in December of 2000. Looks like I'll finally have full benefits, vacation and all that other good stuff again. Just got to wait for the paperwork stuff to happen over the next few days and bingo.

I'll be responsible for productivity programs at 5 different facilities in the U.S. and Mexico. I wonder if this means that I really have to start acting all professional and respectable.;)

Mexico you say? Remember, you promised to take me with you next time.

Congrats on the job.

Every time I call to invite you, you are off at some boogie havin' fun. I'll keep tryin' though, maybe I'll get lucky...:)

Who you been talkin' to...

haha...you already know that since I did a reference check on him and you were one of them! Nice guy, great resume, I just can't place him with my client due to one little detail that management demands.

Congrats! I'm only holding onto my current contract by my fingernails. If it was as easy as saying FUCK YOU and walking out to my car and leaving that's exactly what I would have done today. Unfortunately, It'd be DAYS for me to actually leave this shit hole. Oh well............in 2 weeks it'll all be good again. :S

Funny but true...

Our department hired a contractor for technical writing.
In a staff meeting the contractor suggests that we do this, this and this.

The female boss says, "Forget it. You're nothing but a G-damn contractor."

He says, "Fuck you. You're nothing but a G-damn paycheck." And walks out the door.

I got shit because I high-fived him on his way out.
My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.

I always found it amusing how some companies pay to bring the pros in and then don't want to listen to them. Like we insult them by showing a better way to accomplish the mission before them. I mean, that is what they pay us to do right.
