champu 1 #26 June 17, 2005 QuoteI never feel these things.... Everyone in the office was like, "did you feel that?!?" and I was like, "feel what dude?" I felt this one in Manhattan Beach. No jolts though, just made the whole office sway back and forth for about 8-10 seconds.
MissBuffDiver 0 #27 June 17, 2005 Hemet is right on the faultline. In fact, the line goes along the San Jacinto mountains, just at the base. Then cuts across toward Hemet. There are 2 faultlines that cross at Florida and The Hemet Water Co. [can't remember the name of the st.] I think it's Columbia.Yep, that's it Florida and Columbia. I used to date a DR. who's brother was doing a study on the faults in that area. A 20 yr. study. He said if there was a big one, the dam would break at Lake Hemet and flood the entire town. The water would go as far as Sanderson Ave. That's a lot of water and quite a long way. My mom lives pretty close to those 2 streets. Shotgun 1 #28 June 17, 2005 I didn't even feel it! Rich said it happened a few minutes after I left the house. He said it shook the house pretty good. I guess I didn't feel it because I was driving(?). When I got to school, everyone was talking about the earthquake that just happened, and I didn't even know about it!
