AggieDave 6 #29 June 17, 2005 That's a little narrow sited, look at the other major quakes happeing around the other plates as well. You know about the one in Chilie this past week, right? There are others happening as well. For major events, its not just two plates, its 3 or 4 fault lines becoming active and them all moving. That's when you see major 1970's horror film quality shit happening.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #31 June 17, 2005 Well, atleast you understand it. Maybe someone who has never taken the time to learn a bit about geology and how the plates work, what they do to the world (good and bad) and where we've come from will read your thread and it'll peak some intrest. Geology really is an interesting subject.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #34 June 17, 2005 QuoteGeology was my science! I wish I could make money doing only the field work. History major here, and same with the Geology. I agree, its fun, although I really dig the other side, the knowledge, the supposing, theorizing, etc. Although I enjoyed doing the field work as well.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
