ccowden 0 #1 June 17, 2005 for a woman to hit a man, in these modern times, where it is totally unacceptable for a man to hit a woman? I am not talking about what really goes on, because I am aware that abuse still exists and it is still a huge problem in America, but I am talking about what society accepts as "ok." My main point is what is allowed on TV. And I am not talking about movies. That is a whole other issue with the acceptance of killing and violence. I am talking about the common practice of a woman slapping a man when he does something the woman is not happy with. I have seen it on sitcoms, reality TV, evening dramas, and even commercials. I have seen scenes in sitcoms where when the woman slaps the man it is even made to be something that is funny. I just don't understand this. If you reversed this role, it would be completely unacceptable. Haven't we got to a point in society where it should never be accpetable to hit someone in this manner? Isn't domestic violence wrong no matter which way the abuse is coming from? Why is this treated differently? Used to be, men hit their wives, women hit their children, men hit their children, teachers hit kids....... Yes, it still goes on, but we as a society are changing that line of thinking and realizing that it is not acceptable to use violence in these manners. Why not a woman hitting a man? Or she could just SAY you offended her verbally etc. Or we could end up in jail on accusations of whatever a woman wants to make up. Being shunned from society, without even ever meeting this woman."Yep that's him he's the guy" is all she has to say to ruin you for life. Woman are becoming equal and having all kinds of problems with it. Our country started going to shit when women started this movement and their kids are growing up to be assholes.I often laugh when women get mad , i can't help it. Then they get even more pissed. I do think that, in general, our society is a lot more outraged by a man who hits a woman than by a woman who hits a man. I had a GF who had a really bad habit of hitting me whenever she got mad. All I could do was hold her down until she calmed down and I would just leave. Do you honestly think that we would have been treated the same if I would have hit her back? No way in hell. Do you think we should be treated the same hell no.
