Michele 1 #1 June 22, 2005 No flowery post (it's too late tonight...). Just an amazing shot I got of the intense full moon that rose over the Hollywood Hills this evening. And to my surprise, there was one of those rare "you couldn't have planned that one" moments caught. I hope you all enjoy! Angelfish 0 #3 June 22, 2005 What a beauty!!! I ran late tonight and finished at around 9:30 PM (Austin, TX)... and noticed the big orange moon. Amazing.. sometimes we do forget that IS the same moon you see out there too. ______________________________ Don't fear the reaper. ... BOC
GQ_jumper 4 #4 June 22, 2005 Great pic, we almost never get to see the moon that red out in Colorado.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

MikeJD 0 #6 June 22, 2005 That is a great shot. I was once looking at the moon through a telescope when a jet flew across it. Made me jump!
Michele 1 #7 June 22, 2005 Thanks. Mike, it didn't make me jump - there were lots of planes in the sky, so I was seeing things flying around alot. But when I came home and checked the shots, was I ever so surprised to see the silhouette of the jet - and so clearly, too. I've got some others from last night, but this was by far the neatest shot. And yes, the orange moon was utterly amazing. Thanks for looking! sfullerman 0 #9 June 22, 2005 Was checking out the moon one night thru binoculars, when a satalite or piece-o-space trash cruised right across the middle of my view.....told my bud what I had just seen. His reply "step away from the pipe bro" Nice pic Michele
