lummy 4 #1 June 22, 2005 If you do, I was wondering if this sounds reasonable? Long story short, I may have to pay for some damages my son and his friend did with a bb gun. The other people got an estimate which was over 2 grand which seems crazy to me so I called the body shop. They're saying that since the bb dent is in the door and within 12 inches of the next panel, they have to paint the quarter panel too. I dunno, it sorta sounds like BS to me but I thought some of ya might have been in the business at one point and may know if this is SOP. TIAI promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. It's called "blending" the panel..........the only way to do it and make it look right......... But if the paint is intact, they can do what they call a PDR (paintless dent repair)thats only if the paint surface is not damaged though I presume the BB gun and his allowance have been confiscated?Marc SCR 6046 SCS 3004

lummy 4 #5 June 22, 2005 ahhh... thanks for filling me in Just out of curiosity, would it matter what color the vehicle is? In this case, the SUV is black. Part of my disbelief is from the fact that I haven't even seen the damage and the police won't give me the pics.Yeah, the BB gun is history and he's working off the money he owes Ya know, I've always found that bathrooms have the best croutons BTW, that place is now a harley dealershipI promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
