fireflytx 0 #1 June 23, 2005 Here are some pics of my garden that I have created this year. I started from nothing but grass. Things are growing a little strange at times but with a little TLC I am still getting all kinds of vegtables!"Well behaved women rarely make history"
Slappie 9 #2 June 23, 2005 Sweet you have a Batcave (read: bat house) in your backyard. Does Bruce Wayne visit often? Nice sunflowers "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them." tigra 0 #5 June 23, 2005 Are the sunflowers annuals? They'd be nice for the space next to my garage!
hooked 0 #6 June 23, 2005 Yes, they are, but sometimes they reseed themselves. It's a nice way to feed the birds too, unless you harvest the seeds for yourself! tigra 0 #8 June 23, 2005 Ah well- birds. I don't know if I want to attract birds to my yard. I let my cats out in the backyard if someone is out there with them. (Can't have them wandering off!) I'm not sure I want to deal with the carnage if (when) my cat Spike gets a hold of a bird!
Paige 0 #9 June 23, 2005 Nice! I'm so jealous, I'm stuck in an apt. I can't wait to get a house for that very reason, gardening for me is therapy Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Brains 2 #11 June 23, 2005 Quotevery cool :) so what are you growing besides sunflowers and tomatoes? She is probably sewing so i will answer for her. Zuchini, squash(yellow), tomato, 3 kinds of bell peppers, jalepeno's, lettuce (at least 4 kinds), strawberries, catnip, pumpkins, sunflowers, basil, oregano, and mint. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
Paige 0 #12 June 23, 2005 I have a kitty and not much room for stuff. I have a nice porch and palm trees surrounding the apt. so its all good. Kitty likes to get into stuff so I'm tryin to keep plants away from her since they can be bad. I'd rather keep the plants outside too, I have so many allergies from pollen, etc. I wish I could keep them in the house. I'm thinking some hanging plants in my screened in porch would be nice. It's just maintaining them when I'm traveling to tunnels or gone to boogies. Probably my fault because I used to buy cat grass at the pet store which was just for them to eat. They now think all plants are fair game. Funny, because in the yard all they eat is the grass.
