This has been discussed endlessly but I'd have to say skydiving relationships can be better than average but the person should be a skydiver before the relationship. Also if a breakup were to occur and it were nasty, that could make the home dz not be such a fun place to hang out.

TOTALLY agreed! :S The answer... find a good skyguy (or skygirl) and don't break up. :):)

Bwahaha er except it doesnt work that way....that old saying in the sport..."You dont loose your girlfriend/boyfriend you just loose your turn" comes to mind :D:D:D:D

Skydiver relationship or not, all things said there has to be a relationship, it cannot be based on something like skydiving cause that can always change, one of both of you can quit. If you do, then the whole premise of dating skydivers only is now flushed. People change, and we change our activities. A relationship that can stand on its own two feet reguardless of who does what hobby is what is important. Im not going to argue the fact that itwould be nice to have a skydiver BF, yea it would. But that is not something im going to use to base who I date off of. Who knows if I will be skydiving in the future? no clue. Just finding someone with the enthusiasm for life that we all have, that is important. There are alot of people out side of this sport and in othersports.

I would say however that I would prefer dating someone of the atheletic outdoors nature

Eh, if we didnt have hope that maybe just maybe this one is it on our next relationship...would we ever go on? Prolly not. But there is alot of crap involved in skydiving relationships. Maybe my bitterness shows..or maybe I have learned the lessons from dating skydivers who knows. But I can say, just because someone does date a skydiver, that isnt going to be the magic key for that dream relationship. Most of us single are looking for. [:/]

That key is beyond what any hobby, intrest, look or anything of that sort. It is in our hearts, in our souls and in our minds. A level beyond where most of us look.

I have a clue as to what im looking for, and to this point just cant seem to find it. I know that person is around somewhere...and when I find them I will know. For now I just move along thru life enjoying all it has to bring.

Some people do not like being single, they must have a relationship. Those people I feel for, being single really is important. If you cannt be alone with yourself then what makes you think you can be in a relationship with someone else?

Over the last few years I have delt a few shitty hands, and learned alot about myself, about people and about life. I have a lot more to learn. But the key...if you cannot love yourself and who you are, you will never be albe to have a stable relationship.

At this moment I could not be happier. I truely hope that everyone at some point in there life can reach this point in there lives. I know it can get better, and it will. But I also am fully aware that this is something I did for myself, no one else can make anyone else happy. Period. they can add to ones life, but that person cannot be made happy by someone elses presense alone. It is a shame that people feel the need to have someone there to make them "whole".

Ok done venting...:$ This was a general vent, not aimed at anyone in particular.
