I'm not a skydiver.. I just pretend to be one, because allthough real skydivers are not as cool as they are in the movies, they are still cooler then I am...

You just had to find some context to use that line didnt you?

We only let you pretend cause of your cool wife! :D

Currently my DZ is here in Colorado (will they ever finish the swoop pond). But before the year is out the INS will likely be deporting me (while they continue to let illegals flood into the country), then I will likely be headed to Calgary to sell my house. After that I'll either try to find another job in the states or I will venture off to the Pitt Meadows area of BC. I'm depressed that Canada is predominately nothing more than small Cessna DZs hours and hours away from anything (with the exception of Pitt Meadows), but there is a legal 900' cliff just outside of Banff that I'm looking foward to jumping. If I'm not mistaken there are only two turbine DZs in the entire country. Pitt Meadows and the one in Ontario. But I have absolutely no desire to live in Ontario, so I pretty much ignore everything that goes on there. I'm not sure how I will handle the wet Vancouver winters, but at least they have a turbine in BC.

Toronto as a Kind Air DZ: Niagara skydiving; and a summer Otter DZ: Burnaby.

Quebec has a 3 Beech 18 DZ: Nouvel air , and a Caravan DZ: Atmosphair

BC has a couple non C182 DZs, but I dont know which they are off hand.

The rest, yes, is all Cesnas.

That would be new news. I mean new news news... The only new DZ opening in AB that I know of (in Beiseker, but not the same owners as the blue sky ranch) will only have C182 from what I was told.

There are 4 dropzones in Alberta right now:

2 close to Edmonton http://www.edennorth.com/ and http://www.edmontonskydive.com/

2 close to Calgary http://www.albertaskydivers.com/ and Rivers Edge Skydiving (no web site yet, its new) 403-505-5867 at the Innisfail airport

I've jumped at all of them and they each have something unique to offer and good people.

Edited to add: here's another site to watch http://www.aspa.ca/ :)

Steve, there are plenty of women around that I'm sure would help you out so that you could stay in the states.

Damn, maybe I should have PMed that to him:S

True, but don't forget the occasionally visiting Twin Otter's at Skydive Gananoque.

There's one visiting for 3 days on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd for the Canada Day Weekend boogie at Skydive Gananoque. If you wanna jump a Twin Otter in Ontario, this is the place to be B|

2 hours from Montreal, 3 hours from Toronto, 1.5 hours from Ottawa.

I'll be there all weekend, hoping to reach jump number 70.
