AggieDave 6 #2 June 27, 2005 Messina Hof from here in TX. They have a signature wine called "Paulo" that is badass! Their Melots and Shiraz is really good as well!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

lawrocket 3 #5 June 27, 2005 Oh, yes, I have some suggestions! I look at Silver Oak wines as my benchmark. They are always great wines, but a little on the expensive side. So, I look for wines that I enjoy more. Here are some: 1) Meridian wineries - try their Sangiovese. It's my favorite. They also have good pinot, cabernet and merlot. 2) DeLoach wineries has a great Zinfadel. Their "OFS" label apparently stnds for "Our finest Selection." I think it really means "Out Fucking Standing" 3) Bonny Doon has great wines with character to them. THeir selection is huge, with standard wines like "Cigar Voulant" and "Cardinal Zin" to a number of odd fellows and dessert wines. 4) Decoy from the Duckhorn winery has proven to be very good the last few years. I loved their 2000! My wife is hotter than your wife.

They banned practices in two states where in state wineries could, but out of state ones could not. Be careful shipping to Florida in summer. Don't want to bake the wine before you even get it!
