Slappie 9 #51 June 25, 2005 Thank you ACME. Very good info and I'm not worried about a "snap" they can check my record as many times as they wish. I've been a very good boy when it comes to driving. I'm giving it this weekend, then I'll try and call this safety officer again on Monday. If I don't get an answer then, I'll ask for his supervisor.. etc.. It was because any activity on your account and the agent may 'snap' your driving record. Here's how it works in the real world, kids: So....my driving record wasn't clean eh? still calling B.S. Last ticket or 'activity' I had on my driving record was 96. The accident happened in 2003. While I do believe your explanation, it does not fit the real world scenerio I encountered.------ Michael

I didn't have time to go into GREAT detail on all of the other factors that play in here... -So you didn't have any activity on your record since '96? And your rates magically went up right after you were rear ended? Ya think auto insurance rates are GUARANTEED to stay where they're at? ever heard of inflation? Dude, please.... How many miles were on your car? Did you originally report that you drove 9 miles one-way to work, but then during this deal, your car's odometer was higher than 9 miles one-way should have been? did you go from 9 miles one way to 12 miles one way? Higher bracket. You've driven the same car this whole time? Some 'freebies' like automatic seat-belt discounts and anti-lock brake discounts may not count anymore, and they just figured out that your 1990 car with an automatic seatbelt was getting a discount that no longer applies. -did someone move in with you? Move out? On parents insurance? Not any more? Good student discount fall off? If $15 a month is KILLING you, call your freakin' agent and ask why, don't just try to slam the insurance industry. Look, there is a TON of fraud in the insurance industry, but I can tell you unequivocally that it is NOT the insurers that are doing the bulk of it...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Slappie 9 #54 June 27, 2005 You guys can argue all you want Update is, the Safety Officer called me back. I had contacted the Corp Office. He's directed me to the field office to handle the claim. BUT he gave me a non-working number to contact that office. I do have his cell number and office number now. So I have my hook, just gotta reel them in now. From the conversation I had with this gent this morning. Seems like they don't fight it, they make a claim with their insurance company and just get them fixed. I called him back after I discovered I couldn't reach the field office. He's going to try and contact them thru his channels because the niumber he has is the one he gave me. We'll see.. I'll keep ya posted. I know there are some of you on the edge of your seats waiting to hear if I got my toy fixed or not "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them." goose491 0 #55 June 27, 2005 QuoteQuoteThat being said, if you decide to use your insurer, small tip: There is a BIG difference between something falling off the truck and hitting your car, and something falling off the truck, hitting the ground and bouncing up at your car. I really don't give a rats ass.... [snip] ----------------------------------------- Start giving one. I know you were frustrated but don't shoot the messenger. In most places, who's at fault for damages is determined by rules and charts legislated. Don't get like that with me Slappie. I'm only trying to help. It doesn't matter what you want. It matters even less how you feel about it. Re-read the portion of my post that you have quoted above. Think of it's implication. Without that difference being there. I could sue a truck driver because I ran into a log which fell off his truck last week!!! Obviously, I'm the idiot in that sort of case. Shit happens and the driver has a responsibility to keep his load on the truck. But you also have a responsibility to follow at a safe distance. Stuff falls off of trucks sometimes and if it hits the road, you should be able to get around it. Now instead of answering how you don't give a damn. Think about what this means to you. I didn't expect a thank you but I CERTAINLY didn't expect you to lash out at me. I personaly don't give a fuck how your shit turns out... but I'd like to hear you did well. So just tell them the stuff didn't hit the ground first okay? QuoteYou can argue with me all you want. If I need to involve a lawyer I will just for principle. I wasn't posting to argue with you. I was posting to give you some pointers on how best to deal with insurance and lawyers. QuoteIf they refuse to work with me and cause me grief over it. Then I'll probably get vendictive and shoot for whatever $$ total I can, and give it all to the lawyers just to ram a wad up the jerks ass.... Ladies and gents, I present you with the second reason why your insurance rates are so high. It's the: "If they refuse to work with me I'll... I'll..." claimant. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
