flyangel2 2 #10 June 30, 2005 MeatJerky my dear, please oh please separate your sig line from your post. I for one am tired of reading it over and over again If you go here you'll see how you can do that. Jim, sorry for the hijack. RevJim 0 #11 June 30, 2005 Damn, this feels good. Now if it wasn't for this gash across my chest, I'd go and celebrate with a jump. Thank you to EVERYONE that quits, and I encourage everyone that still smokes to quit now, while you're still alive. Besides, Sunny thinks cigarettes are yukky, which almost makes up for her dislike of Hardee's Thickburgers. It's your life, live it! RevJim 0 #17 June 30, 2005 QuoteWay to go!!! That gives me hope. I am trying to quit for the second time this year. How long did you smoke? I quit when I was 32, and started when I was ~16. Maybe 15. Was NEVER less than a pack a day. Boy, do I wish I could have some of that money back. The money I saved in the last 2 years bought me a Bird-Man suit, FF pants, new camera helmet, new camera, Neptune altimeter, a bunch of odds and ends, and, um, oh yea, a brand spankin new container, complete with cool embroidery...It's your life, live it! SpeedRacer 1 #23 June 30, 2005 Is copenhagen snuff, or chew? Damn, I'll tell you how to quit. Spend some time where I used to work: The Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. One of our cell lines was Squamous Cell Cancer of the Head & Neck. They got some photographs of people who got this cancer, mostly from smokeless tobacco products. The cancer eats the flesh off their face & spreads to the bone. The whole face begins to deteriorate. Its the most disgusting thing you've ever seen. Anyone who chews & takes a look at these photos would pull out their last package & throw it on the ground & stomp on it. jumpchikk 0 #24 June 30, 2005 That is awesome and something to be very proud of. My dad starts chemotherapy today for the mass in his right lung... They would have gone in and removed it, but they already took out a good portion of his left lung. Not to mention the mass that's on his kidney... He quit smoking back in 1986, but was still diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of this year. My mom is still smoking to this day. To all of those that find the strength to quit, you have my upmost admiration...
