JohnRich 4 #2 June 30, 2005 Dayum! I hope they didn't "noodle" that catfish, where they reach into a hole with their arm, wait for the fish to bite their arm, then withdraw the arm with the fish...
AggieDave 6 #3 June 30, 2005 I grew up near Lake Texoma (very large fresh water lake) and heard stories about divers who check the dam intakes having seen catfish that were the size of VW's and such. Honestly I never doubted them, although I thought they were stretching the truth a bit. After reading about that record catfish last night, makes me want to go to the Denison Dam (lake texoma) with a boat, a Warn winch and 50lbs of stink bait.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I heard the same rumors when I was stationed at sheppard AFB. only it was "there's a cat fish that go tso big it was stuck in a VW that was sunk in the lake." supposedly divers found it etc.etc. the next rendition will be "there's a catfish so big in that lake that it ate a VW with divers in it!
