Don't need it in the sky. Here's a lesson : Someone put a few pounds of flour in a jumper's tiny hot canopy and repacked it. I found out about it and was wanting to tell the guy not to jump his rig. But i thought it would be ok. I was new to the sport (100 or so jumps) and the flour moron was a rigger/S&TA etc.( 1500 jumps) I was on the jumper's load and could have told him. The whole dz knew about it by now except him. Well, he had a very hard opening and felt like he broke his neck. He was done for the day/weekend. I could have told him and was going to but i didn't for fear of having the whole dz on my ass. Save the jokes for the whuffos. I realize with pranks safety has to be #1. I would not consider messing with someone's canopy, period. Are you saying that freefall pranks are also inappropriate or unsafe and that you would not recommend newbies (or anyone?) participating in them? (things such as an intentional funnel in free fall or screwing around with the exit count) Just looking for opinions on this... from you and any experienced jumpers. cocheese 0 #77 July 1, 2005 Think of the dangers of an intentional funnel. Premature opening, kicked in the head,confusing other jumpers, loss of altitude awareness. Yea i'm no fun.Exit count pranks ? If that's how you want to waste someone's $20 jump. Had a dude put a leg lock on me during a balloon exit with camera.I would have had the perfect shot, but no, he surprised me with a leg wrap and tumble. I'm still pissed about that. Like the big brother that throws a lawndart at you to fake you out, but he throws it to the side of you .... the same side you are jumping to. Stupid morons need pranks pulled on them to teach them a lesson about pranks.People have been scared to death from pranks.
