I was an idiot once too, but for a lot less stupid reason. I was racing a friend down the stairs in a big atrium in college. We had to step on every riser as fast as possible. Well, down we go, as fast as possible. About 2/3 of the way down, I slipped, and rode the rest of the way down on my back, knocking the goddamn breath out of me. I couldn't breathe for what seemed like forever. Luckily I didn't break any ribs, but I had 8 or 9 red welts across my back!
