What can you find about yourself on Google?

Recommended Posts

I Googled my name today and found this cool picture of myself that I'd never seen before, on the New York Times News Service page.

Now it's your turn. Google your name and share anything cool or unique you find about YOURSELF.
I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names.

Let's see....

From 1977 tp 1981 I worked my way from Secretary to President of the Rotary Club of Grimsby.

I'm currently in the Doubles League of the Red Willow Badminton Club.

I rolled a season average of 209 at the Lava Lanes in Bend, OR.

AND I operate a tour boat in Lake of the Woods as Thunderbird Adventures. In this capacity, I have a remarkable talent for picking out bird tracks along the lake's expansive shore line.

Don't believe me? Check out the pic...

Not THERE'S a job with a SHORT life expectancy!

Naw, those B engines don't really lift a guy like you off the ground. Apparently they couldn't get enough fuses from Hobby Lobby to really light off their manned rocket program.:D

What about this pic I found of you?

Hey, I was young, broke and naive when I posed for that. Ya gotta keep food on the table somehow ya know. :S

Oh, I also wrote a web-based Turing Machine back in 1994 when the Java language was still in Beta.

And, as Staff Attorney for the Indiana Department of Resources, I requested advisory opinions from the US Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining on the issues of improvidently issued surface coal mining permits, and whether a 30 foot trailer on wheels can be considered an "occupied" dwelling".

(Actually, the above ones really are me... don't I lead an exciting life? :D)

I'm a prominant photographer from the American Civil War so the images link is swamped with my early work. :P

I think this one's cool though - this used to be the first link from Google... it's now slipped to the second page but my fav. bit is the by-line which reads: "Australia's first sex symbol". http://www.convictcreations.com/history/brady.htm Oddly enough he was only 3 years younger than my photographer incarnation.

I think I'm also a current NFL player too.

There is a Dr. John Hawke on faculty at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. He is a poet, critic, and editor of literary publications.

There is New York artist named John Hawke.

Another John Hawke is the Associate Professor of Aquatic Animal Health at Lousiana State University's School of Veterinary Medecine.

There is a Washington D.C. attorney named John Hawke

There's a genealogical record of a John Hawke born in 1570, in Hingham, Norfolk Co., England.

There's a picture of a John Hawke from Seattle, WA that caught a rather tiny fish while on vacation in New Zealand.

My website shows up about two thirds of the way down page 2.

Switching to an image search, the picture from my home page shows up in the fourth row.

John

Here's a post I made yesterday about a site I accidentally found (through Google) for "Scary Perry"... although it's not the Scary Perry we know and love from skydiving.

As far as my name, I'm a captain, fullback, and underwater photographer apparently, among other things.
