When is the best time to book airline(southwest) fights?

Third, Southwest is not a very good airline. They are an average to slightly above average airline. I have been flying them for most of my life and whenever i get the chance to Fly another one i jump at the chance to get away from the dirty seats, cattle call style bording, and peanuts.

If they're average, I hate to think how you rate United, America West, and the host of truly fucked up airlines out there.

If I want to do a trip on relatively short notice (be it a month or 3 days), SWA is going to win nearly all of the time on hassle and price. I don't have to hunt around for fares - I go to their web site and know what's going on. If I'm late in booking, odds are I'm paying the full fare. The one that tends to be about half what United would want.

The flights are fine. I don't want to pay for lousy airplane meals. The attendants tend to have a better attitude about work and life. As for the cattle boarding method - you check in online early in the morning and get an A boarding pass and you sit in the concourse until most of A is in, then you join. You're still guaranteed a window or aisle seat, with plenty of overhead space.

never.. SW sucks... i want my seat preassignd and i'll get to the airport in time to walk in, walk on and sit down... the 'cattle car' method simply sucks if you dont have time to waste and prefer window/exit rows..

Want to bet? United send their aircraft to Hong Kong & Korea for heavy checks, JetBlue and America West send their to El Salvado in south America. doubt they pay them 200 a month! bet they can't even read english in the aircraft manuals either. Southwest send their to vancouver BC Canada with the exchange rate of loonie they get about 10 bucks an hour. the 3rd party repair shops don't pay nothing. Timco and other shops here in USA have had dozens of mechanics arrested they were illegals and had fake A&P mechanics licenses too

trust me these 3rd party repair shops are an accident waiting to happen..

we recently had several Ex United 777 come into base for work aircraft owners were appalled at the condition of aircraft from 3rd party work.. sent them to us to be fixed.. & sold
