SkyFest Needs Women

Recommended Posts

Sweetie, I'll be there, doing the girl-ways on Saturday (if they'll have me, and depending on when exactly my brother gets into town).

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

I'd love to help but I am afraid I would just screw it up with that many people in the sky.

I'd just like to tack a rider on to what J said... At Skyfest a couple of years ago, there were 20 women, most of whom had less than 300 jumps. Most had the same thoughts and concerns that you express. They did a great job. Be painfully honest about your abilities with the Load Organizers, so they can best set the formation for success. IMO - being good in the base of a formation is just as important as chasing and docking on the base. No big-way records would exist, if not for a good solid base. Go for it.

Bigun I tried to find your pic of the Pink Patch but this was Ernies the first year. I am so jealous, of both of you for having this patch.

Thanks for your support as always.

J

I know I, as well as the other women, will be so diasappointed if we don't get the 20-way Pink Patch dive this year.

Come on guys... you want to win a jump with the ladies, and we need ladies! Soooooo... I think the guys should help us find women!! Sounds good, right???? B|

ACK! It's raining like a muthafucka out there!

Spaceland? You getting flooded?

Bring your bug spray folks - even if it dries out, the state bird will be out en masse to feast. Damn mosquitos are the size of pterodactyls.

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Dangerous street flooding hits Houston hard as storms blow in:(:(:(:(

Heavy rains returned to the Houston area today, dumping their greatest wrath on the East Freeway and surrounding streets. Some drivers were stranded or surprised by impassable streets, but no injuries or rescues caused directly by high waters were reported, said the Harris County Office of Emergency Management.
