Should I buy a 300M?

Recommended Posts

For the first time since I was 15 I'm without a car. As you can see, my grand am didn't fare well in my head on collision with a dump truck B|

I test drove a 1999 Chrystler 300M this morning and I loved it. Couldn't really find anything to complain about. TONS of room, fully loaded w/ leather interior and heated seats. Nearly as much horsepower as my dads Z28. Does anyone have any complaints about the car? Things I should take a closer look at? The car I test drove was in good condition. A fair number of blemishes on the outside, and a slice in the vinyl on the dash that can be repaired for a small amount of money. The guy is selling it for $6250, I think I can get it from him for $5500 or so. What do you guys think? Should I keep looking?

Yeah, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to talk the guy down though. All the other 300M's in the same field that I've looked at have been priced 8-10 grand. $6250 is already below blue book. We'll see though, it'll need a new set of tires within the year most likely, and there're a few minor cosmetic repairs I'll need to do
