waltappel 1 #1 July 21, 2005 Anyone feel like ranting about how much they hate raccoons? Personally, I like raccoons, as well as squirrels, cats and computers--all of which are inherently evil--but I also like hearing rants against all of 'em. Guess it's a love-hate thing. Walt p.s. These racoons aren't mine, but they sure are cute! http://www.orcca.on.ca/~elena/photos/pets/racoons/picture%20022.jpg

waltappel 1 #3 July 21, 2005 QuoteWhat kind of sick individual would hate a raccoon!! they are cool little creatures. anyone that hates Raccoons should go to the box and feel shame.... Lots of people hate racoons! They really are quite destructive and, in many cases, very ill-tempered. My apartment complex borders on a kind of nature preserve and I put food out for the racoons every night. Unappreciative little bastards, but they sure are cute! The people in the leasing office are really sick of racoons because this is the time of year when they invade attics so they can give birth to their young. Lots of people get really disturbed when they hear racoons walking around on their ceiling. In a brief moment of inspiration, I made the suggestion to the people in the leasing office that whenever anyone complains about racoons in the attic, they should be told, "Be thankful for the racoons--they keep the snakes out. When snakes falls through the ceiling, they generally go into a snake rage and kill everything and everyone near them." I don't think they took my suggestion, but I still think it's cool idea. hungarianchick 0 #4 July 21, 2005 How can anyone hate those cute little bandit faces? Seriously though, they can be a pain in the ass. Once they ransacked our campsite overnight without making a sound. We were stupid enough to leave food out so I guess we deserved it. We had those small packaged condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayo) and all were punctured and sucked clean! "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food." gjhdiver 0 #8 July 22, 2005 They're a fucking nuisance. They rip off the cat door and come into the house and trash the kitchen. They are unbelieveable filthy, flea infested and vicious and won't hestitate to go for you if you try to get them out of the house. I have a humane trap for them. I've caught over 50 iof them in my back yard in the last few years, and I give them a nice drive to a more expensive area with better garbage.

Diversgodown 0 #10 July 22, 2005 Guess I'm in the minority here!!! But seriously there just looking for food they were here before us...I feed one out of my hand one and it wasn't vicious at all. It was really gentle and I pulled my hand away cause it grabbed my hand really quick then the next time it reach out it went really slow. I guess I've never really had to deal with them getting into my garbage or house. But I would like it if I had a family af Raccoons in my attic... ***Glory Favors the Bold***

waltappel 1 #15 July 23, 2005 I exported it as a QuickTime movie with a frame rate of 15fps, video quality 65%, and resolution of 320x240, using MPEG4 compression. It's still about 40MB. Any ideas? Walt
