Rebecca 0 #1 January 11, 2005 Tuesday. It's the worst day of the week. A lot of people think Monday has that job, and they do have a point, but they're wrong. Here's why: Every other day of the week has something good about it. Monday is a day to talk about what you did that weekend. The work week is starting but not really in full swing - it stretches before you full of potential and you make your plans and schedule meetings. When the day is over, whew! you feel happy to have it behind you. Then Tuesday. Bleh. Work is at full steam and you're up to your neck in it. Last weekend is gone and forgotten, and you can't even see the next one coming. The majority of your 40+ hours are still to come and the clock won't budge as you beg for 5:00 to hurry up and get here. Tuesday. What's it good for? Wednesday is hump day. It has a funny nickname, and you can see a teeny tiny little light appearing at the end of the tunnel and it gets bigger and closer as the day wears on. Weekend plans are considered. The energy around you starts charging up. I can dig it. Thursday is a nice day, like Tuesday's angelic twin. It only gets better from here. Do I need to go into Friday, Saturday and Sunday? No, I think those days stand on their own. We know we love them and why (even though Sunday is a bit bittersweet). Now I'm wondering if I dare continue, or if I should start a new thread. I don't like starting threads capriciously - I'd rather add to one, but this is pretty far gone. Hell, I'll give it a shot. It's not that important anyway, just a gratuitous whine. So, it's Tuesday, and I'm feeling it. I'm grouchy after a good night's sleep, I'm bored but have plenty to do, and I'm feeling nit-picked and persecuted. No one's here so I'm lonely and restless too. I wanna be home reading Harry Potter.
