udder 0 #1 July 27, 2005 The beloved student loan will be paying for my rig. Over 3 years or even posponed till I end uni, which is 3 and a half years. Problem is parents wont really secure a loan for skydiving equipment Now is it socially acceptable to ask someone who doesn't know you very well to secure that loan? I'd be willing to give them 2 months worth of repayments... though at 25 aus dollars a week it aint much, less than 2 hours of work. Im not exactly someone who can run away with cash, I live at home and attend uni and only jump at one dropzone. Question is will asking just make me look like a dickhead, or would you do it for someone?"In one way or the other, I'm a bad brother. Word to the motherf**ker." mailin 0 #2 July 27, 2005 Due to the reason for the loan, you'll find it's hard to get a cosigner. When I was 18 my grandmother co-signed a personal loan for me because I needed to pay off my university so I could transfer. Had I asked her to co-sign it for skydiving equipment she would have laughed at me! I think its a bad idea to use an education loan to fund your entertainment - find another way. daniel_owen_uk 0 #5 July 27, 2005 Like the others said you might as well ask someone you don't know to lend you the money. Either way, the answer will be no.__________________ BOOM Headshot
udder 0 #6 July 27, 2005 I'll have the cash for at least 100 jumps a year. Probably more due to long holidays. Just gear hire will eat into it big time. Unless I can sort out something long term with the DZ. Thanks for the replies anyways. Regarding certain favours, I can swallow large banana's whole and have along tongue. Anyone want my ass unused ass(well except for the usual things they do) for a 190/170 rig with a cypress? "In one way or the other, I'm a bad brother. Word to the motherf**ker."
