waltappel 1 #54 July 27, 2005 QuoteToday at lunch, I realized I have a huge fear of marrying a serial killer/rapist/all other bad things. But the people who are married to them usually have no idea. So help me out, here. How do you know if someone's pure evil? It's almost painful to break from my routine of smartass posts, but since I have a very deep and undying love of women in general, here goes. 1. There are websites, e.g., PublicData.com where you can do somewhat of a background check on individuals. Additionally some states, like good ol' Texas, have web-accessible databases that you can search for convictions. 2. I suppose it would be too obvious to mention that there are online sex offender databases you can search, but I just mentioned it anyway. 3. It is a very good idea to find a way to run a credit check. 4. Talk at great length with the guy's parents (especially his mother) if at all possible. It is almost certain that parents will be very biased, but you can read between the lines. 5. If possible, talk with one or more exes. 6. Talk with his best friends. By the way, if someone has no close friends, that should be a warning flag. 7. Ask about the worst breakup he has ever had. The idea here is to get him talking about any and all incidents where he feels he has been mistreated by women. 8. Get him talking about his relationship with his mother. If there is a lot of hostility there, be very wary. 9. How much and how often does he drink? Does he use drugs? Is he a mean drunk? 10. What is his attitude toward animals? Does he mistreat them? 11. Is his name Walt Appel? If so, no worries. He's a great guy and has not committed NEAR enough murders to be considered a serial killer. I could go on and on, but this should be a decent start. Here are some helpful links: Texas Sex offenders database (sorry to disappoint, but I'm not in there): https://records.txdps.state.tx.us/soSearch/default.cfm PublicData.com. A decent way to do a quick background check online: http://www.publicdata.com/ Texas criminal records search (I'm not in this one either): http://records.txdps.state.tx.us/ I will now go back to being a smartass. She thought this guy was amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be just that! She fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later she murdered her sister with a pair of garden shears. Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?
