kelel01 1 #32 August 1, 2005 All-in-all, a great weekend. Rain made me too lazy to head to the DZ, but debauchery abounded at the kitties' new place. Glad we quit while we were ahead, though.
Icon134 0 #33 August 1, 2005 0:2:1 The weather in Atlanta appeared as if it was going to be very poor this weekend... so Saturday morning I decided to drive to Ohio and spent the evening with the family... Sunday I drove over to Skydive Greene County (its only 25 minutes from my parents place) and did a couple of RW jumps. Thanks to Robin for introducing me to the DZ (aka helping me locate the DZ from the air get me involved with the RW Organizer...) I will have to find somewhere to leave Karma for the day because Pets aren't allowed at SGC... (I might have a place though ) ScottLivin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... Rain? What rain? It was just a few sprinkles! I was jumping the same place as you and my numbers for the weekend were 0:14:1 My first was a 13k cross country! Okay, it didn't qualify because it wasn't 10 miles. More like 5 I think, although it probably could have been 15 and we would have still made it back. Still, a great way to end the weekend! I jumped all day Saturday. We got in a good hybrid and a few fun RW jumps, and finished the day with a sunset cross country. On Sunday morning I took Derek, Kelli, Andre and a few others whitewater rafting in the Royal Gorge. Coming into one of the bigger rapids we hit a rock, almost flipping the boat and throwing everyone but Andre into the river. A few people took some longer swims, but everyone was fine. All in all it was a great weekend.
