NWFlyer 2 #2 August 6, 2005 Pearl Jam in Seattle at Key Arena ... last show of their 2000 tour Neil Finn at the Showbox in Seattle ... love the Neil. (Oh, and Eddie Vedder showed up to play with him at the end) BoDeans at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC... I'd been wanting to see them for a long time and they didn't disappoint. Live at the Gorge in Washington. My first show ever at the Gorge, which is a truly amazing venue. Every single time I've seen Lyle Lovett ... which I think is at least 5 times now. Emmylou Harris at the Moore Theater in Seattle. That woman still has one of the most amazing voices. Stone Temple Pilots at the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill, NC... it was on (or really near) my 26th birthday and one of Scott Weiland's last shows before he went into perma-rehab.\ Yeah, I've got some pretty diverse tastes... (oh, and a random Foo Fighters connection... Dave Grohl's mom was my English teacher in high school)"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke

kenz 0 #7 August 6, 2005 i'm ready for the harrassment that follows this statement, but i saw michael jackson -sept 7, 2001 and it kicked ass... it was the one on tv and the jackson 5 were there in addition to about a million other people... the show was amazing... but seriously i've been to 1000's of shows - i work in the indie scene so there are tons of unknowns that are just amazing - especially live but for other great mainstream performers - eminem - he was awesome u2 - much better than i ever expected smashing pumpkins incubus jonny lang - freakin amazing - boy needs to eat but holy crap he can play the hell out of the guitar and his voice is awesome... i guess that'll be a starter - but if anyone wants a list of some other good tunes that arent so mainstream drop me a pm - :)"life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me

Slowfaller 0 #10 August 7, 2005 Foo Fighters do rock, saw them at UIC pavillion. Alkaline Trio when they first started out, saw them at a small bowling alley which only did shows, no bowling, and now I guess its just a bowling alley again. I've seen Modest Mouse 3 or 4 times, their best show was in Milwaukee at the Rave Cypress Hill at H.O.B when I was in High school The absolute best though was Radiohead, Aug 2003 at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM
