My boyfriend's back in the U.S.

Recommended Posts

I'm finally going to see my boyfriend in a few hours for the first time since January, after his stay in Iraq. I'm so excited and nervous. I couldn't even sleep last night. I feel like I'm going on a first date. I have no idea what to wear, and I am feeling breathless/speechless right now. :$

Can you guys post some kind words, so I can show him that we all love and appreciate what people like him and his fellow military friends have done for us? I'll print this thread out, and have him send the thread to everyone that was on his ship. Thank you!

Whoa! I know that feeling, and it's a good one!! I'm so excited for you Rosa!!

Spencer, thank you. Thank you and those you serve with for your bravery and your sacrifice. If this country didn't have you and those like you to call on in times of need, it wouldn't be anywhere near as great as it is.

Thanks to you too Rosa - being a military girlfriend is not always easy. It's part and parcel of the sacrifice Spencer made.

Have a great time reuniting, you two! Gosh - I'm all aflutter just thinking how keyed up you must be, Rosa!

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

I don't really think it matters what you wear.

1. He'll be so glad to see you, he won't care.
2. He's just gonna rip it off your body, hopefully, ya'll can at least make it to the car though. B|

Kind words: Thanks for everything. Regardless of how anyone feels about being there we are all pulling for you and appreciate your sacrifices.

My brother-in-law is headed to Iraq late this year leaving my sister taking care of my 2 nephews. [:/]

Rosa I'm glad your man is back!

Tell him thanks for everything he has done/is doing/and will do for us.

PS: The trenchcoat idea is a good one! ;)

Yea, Rosa, I'm so happy for you. I'm sure Spencer will be too focused on your beautiful eyes and beaming smile to even notice what you are wearing!

Spencer, your girl sure has missed you. Take good care of her and thanks for serving our country. B|

Spencer is in the military and had to go to Iraq to serve from January until now. He also served in the Persian Gulf war when he was younger.

He was not in the military when we first began to see each other, though. (I have dated Spencer off and on for about 8 years, but it has always been a serious relationship between us, when we have been together.) He was asked a couple of years ago to return (after 9-11), and he eventually returned after being out of the military for about 11 years.
