Girlfalldown 0 #27 August 4, 2005 When I was really little my mom used to call me motor mouth because I'd talk to strangers all the time. She'd be pushing me around in the shopping cart at the grocery store and I'd constantly ask people what their names were and what they were buying and if they had any kids and where did they get that red shirt and other silly naive kid stuff. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.) RastaRicanAir 0 #28 August 4, 2005 QuoteMostly Lambchop... My mother named me after Shari Lewis and Lambchop, so people in school (back then) just called me Lambchop. I was named after a Senator and assassinated Presidential Candidate. You were named after a woman who talked to her socks. I'm guessing only one of our mothers smoked weed. -DJ Electric Monkey Lip (Proudly bestowed on me by SkymonkeyONE. Though I've never jumped with him, so I'm not sure why.) (I'm also not sure it was a compliment.) Other than that I can't think of too many more that I have. -Sincerely, RastaRican a.k.a. monkycndo 0 #32 August 4, 2005 1. Monkey- Da Mom gave me the nickname because I climbed on everything as a iddy biddy kiddy. Loved to be up high. Go figure I would get into skydiving. 2. Weird- During college while volunteering with the club that would build a float for the Rose Parade, got the monaker. The club from San Luis would bring their half of the float to Pomona. The new members would see me doing some goofy ass stuff and ask "who is that?" My club would just say, "Oh, he's weird." It stuck.50 donations so far. Give it a try. TheAnvil 0 #40 August 5, 2005 Several: 1) JACKASS Do I have to explain this? 2) Vino. When I first arrived in college, I impressed some folks with my ability to consume alcohol. 3) TheAnvil. Sen.Blutarsky 0 #41 August 5, 2005 "Bluto" - it's a truncation of the family name. Most folks have trouble with Blutarsky in terms of its spelling and pronunciation. Also suggestive of "Blotto," which alludes to my college daze. "The Senator" - more of a title than a nickname. Not very useful for my day job 'cause it applies to my colleagues too. I'm fine with either moniker. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!
Elisha 1 #42 August 5, 2005 Well, my name I go by to most people, Ole (rhymes with holy - ok, I guess I outed myself) is actually a nickname...for Aholiav, an obscure person from Exodus in the Old Testament. I go by Elisha on every message board I've been on, since I have a hard time thinking up something good and Elisha is my middle name (yes, also from the Old Testament, a Prophet in Kings who came after Elijah). Btw, I actually AM rather religious, but I don't really advertise so you probably wouldn't know unless I told you, but I'm willing to share if asked. Live by example is a better way. A friend of mine thinks I should go by the Greek version of Elisha, Elissaios (or even Eli for short) since he thinks it sounds cool. I was called Ole Guacamole for a couple of years in Elementary school. I've been called Oles, Aholiav (deliberately mispronounced to make fun of it). Don't know what else... kbordson 8 #43 August 5, 2005 My name was always a respectably boring name, even when I was in trouble... which wasn't often But my older sister had trouble pronouncing Karen (like how hard is that really?!) so she called me Kono... and it kinda stuck. At least with family and close friends....
