wingnut 0 #1 August 13, 2005 okay so my girfriend is gona come up to visit in the near future and i have a problem..... where to stay... can't stay at my house, my parents wouldn't like that.. ( so so need to move out but the money i save on rent is payng off credit cards) so here is my dilema.... stay at a more expensive hotel in town near alot of entertainment and bars or stay at a cheaper hotel (but still not bad) away from town and just have to drive there after we are done hangningout around town..... what to do, what to do... and for those that say stay in a tent at the dz, naw, i'd rather spend some time with her, than a bunch of smelly skydivers and a nice shower would be good too.... oh air conditioning, that is nice too... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"

Andy9o8 2 #3 August 13, 2005 1. Got a spare bedroom in the house? If not, be a gentleman and put her up in yours, and sleep on the living room couch. 2. Still worried about what you parents will say? Well, it's their house. I don't know your age, but even if you started jumping at 18, 7 yrs in the sport makes you at least 25. It's your choice to be living where, as a grown adult, you're not free to have anyone you wish sleep in your own bedroom. You choose to live with them, you dealt the cards, you play the hand. 3. She's your lady. Spend the bucks and put her up in a good hotel. She deserves no less.
bbarnhouse 0 #4 August 13, 2005 Quote3. She's your lady. Spend the bucks and put her up in a good hotel. She deserves no less. I would have to agree with this one Wingi. Additionally, since you have limited time with your lady friend, you might as well make it memorable. Do an online search for hotels in the area. There are often really good deals that won't break the bank
SwampThing 0 #5 August 13, 2005 Quote need to move out but the money i save on rent is payng off credit cards *** You asked - Put off her visit for a while, take the grand you were going to blow on hotels and entertainment and either put THAT on your credit cards or use it as a deposit on a studio apartment. Dude! You're a train conductor in Ohio for God sake! (if you bio is accurate) The reason you live with mom & dad is you spend money on bullshit instead of acting like a grown up and taking care of business! edited to add: Sorry to sound so harsh, but DAMMMNNNN! wingnut 0 #7 August 13, 2005 QuoteThe reason you live with mom & dad is you spend money on bullshit instead of acting like a grown up and taking care of business! think what ever you want dude, i just got out of the air force in april after serving 6.5 years, i've been at my current job a month. as for putting the money i would spend twaords my debt, well if i wait till i pay it off it will be next year before i see her again and i don't want that, the 600 a month i save by living with my parents is well worth it as i'm hardly ever home anyways. the only problem i needed solved was if i should get a place close to everything or a cheaper place.... the fact that i can't have a female friend stay the night at my parents is no conciderationin this....... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"

kelel01 1 #9 August 13, 2005 I'd get the less expensive one. She's a skychick. We're used to staying in crappy motels. And Swamp Thing, take a chill pill. Living with your parents saves a lot of money, so you can afford to do other little things AND pay off debt. I did it before, and I was living better AND paying down my debt more than I am now. Amanda965 0 #19 August 13, 2005 I would say go for the Easton or Polaris area. There are fun things there and most likely you will pay a little less than you would pay for downtown if that is what you are thinking of. You two better call me to hangout for at least a little bit ** There are alot of hotels (nicer ones) at CrossWoods too on route 23 that would be relatively close to stuff.Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
