Quote Of all the deaths attributed to the aquarium hobby, almost all are due to elctrocution. I wondered what the other causes are? Nataly 38 #11 August 15, 2005 So what kind of fishies did/will you get?? My b/f and I recently started up an aquarium.. He wanted a fish for his birthday, and I couldn't believe the cost of starting up a tank.. So I went on e-bay.. For less than it would have cost to start up a crummy little 1.5' tank, I got everything you could possibly want (*everything*) to fully set up not one, or two, or even 3 tanks.. Enough to kit 10 large tanks--including the 10 tanks!!! We're actually running into some problems with high Nitrite levels at the moment, so I need to dig through the mountains of stuff to find the gravel siphon, then do a partial water change. We only have one tank set up at the moment--one of the 3' ones.. We're keeping the 4' tank for bigger fishies.. 10 tanks.. Imagine how fucking stupid my inlaws thought I was when we told them about our bargain on e-bay!!! speedy 0 #13 August 15, 2005 10 Tanks? Think of the running costs, lighting, pumps, heating, it all cost's money. Also the tanks do not last forever, I have heard that after 8 -10 years you should replace them before they leak. Once you have got your new tanks up and running you can sell the old ones on ebay Dave Fallschirmsport Marl
