Mike111 0 #1 August 17, 2005 What would you say is the most important character trait you look for in a friend.? Loyalty? Trust? Honesty? Funny? Polite? caring and concerned about others? Modest? Kind? or any others not mentioned(the list could go on for two days) Or are they all important? mike

wmw999 2,584 #5 August 17, 2005 Someone who thinks I'm funny and intelligent . I guess that would be good taste That said, I'd put good sense of humor (which goes both ways -- funny and appreciative) and kind pretty high on the list. Finally, being able to give a great hug. (And I didn't even mention boobies once)50 donations so far. Give it a try. RevJim 0 #11 August 17, 2005 Well, I can't pick one. Really. Why? It's quite simple, actually. A person i consider a friend has all of those traits. I hold no one more important over another. If that person doen not have these traits, they are not a friend, they are an aquaintence. Period. It's your life, live it! boinky 0 #12 August 17, 2005 Your list is a good one, but you're right...it could go on forever. I can't describe my trait in word, but I need a friend I can be ME with and they can do the same. Be there for each other and to be able to talk about anything/everything without fear of being shunned. Not have to dress up to be with them. Not have to DO anything when you hang out together. Anyway...you get the idea....Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? Mike111 0 #13 August 17, 2005 Sure, but wouldn't it be fair to say that some people would still view someone as a friend even if they didnt; have all those traiyts - they might not have a sense of humour but are otherwise genuinely really good people? Please correct me if i am wrong (which i am probably am lol)
RevJim 0 #14 August 17, 2005 Well, I for one have many, many aquaintences, but I can count my true friends on one hand, and not use all the fingers. Really. True friendship is hard to come by, and those that are that true are a select few. Those that cling to each and every new person they meet, well, they scare me a bit. It's your life, live it! Mike111 0 #15 August 17, 2005 Ahh i see what you mean. i should have been more careful with my words - true friends are hard to come by, and i didn;t didtuingish that i was referring about them and not clingers. Sorry if i wasn't very clear, Thanks, mike
