MikeJD 0 #51 August 18, 2005 QuoteI had them down in Barbados and they were more like a biscuit and were quite good. Careful - now you're really going to confuse things. Because an American biscuit is nothing like a British biscuit. Your biscuits are more like what we call scones, and our biscuits are your cookies. I found a photo of a crumpet for you, covered in jam. I mean jelly, sorry....

skyminxx 0 #54 August 18, 2005 Nope.. No crumpets here, but I did just have a Crunchie with my Sainsbury's red label.... I am almost out though, so time for a trip to the homeland I think :) Good luck on your quest for a crumpet.. (Trader Joes has them and Giant sometimes sells Marmite) but otherwise you will have make do with that weird phenomenon.. The English Muffin (WTH is that all about?) (edited to add) Bugger! .. I shoulda read the rest of the thread before being so post happy.... Remi: How about the debate on Property and petrol prices then?? hmm? Thanks for the picture of the crumpet..Made my day, too!
