swooper120 0 #4 August 19, 2005 learn to like Ramen Noodles!!!!Location is the key to running a DZ. Start out with a Cessna for day to day operations and slow times, look to lease a larger aircraft for busy weekends. Get your pilots rating, so you dont need to count on a pilot to support your business. Take advantage of local amenties for business...colleges, tourist attractions, large businesses/corporations. Running a DZ, sounds like a dream job, and very well can be at times, but it also requires alot of behind the scenes work that is usually never thought of. Its something I love to hate in my everyday life, and I only do it on the weekends with my dad and best friends! BillyVance 35 #10 August 19, 2005 Running a DZ pretty much requires your attention EVERY weekend, especially as a new owner. No rest for the weary! You better have the energy and be able to enjoy it, or you'll burn yourself out right quick."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
