ChasingBlueSky 0 #76 August 18, 2005 Quote(entering this thread late I guess) So why is this thread criticizing women and not ALL skydivers vs surfers? Because that would be logical and not generate the attention a trolling post deserves? jmpnkramer 0 #77 August 18, 2005 QuoteFair play to you, i must have interpreted it differently as to how you would have liked it to be interpreted. That happens and hence brings a decent debate. Of course the thread got deleted but we were definitely going at it pretty good. All in fun of course. You remember that? .The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" brits17 0 #82 August 18, 2005 I'd take a surfer chick to the gun show any day, bring it And then we'd race up a tower 1800 ft, if she's really hard core it should take no more than an hour... Actually I'd let Jennejenn do that one, she's a racehorse. I'm out for the week, I broke a nail... skydiving of course. Anyway, back to my Krispy Kremes, I'm trying to gain weight. Shotgun 1 #83 August 18, 2005 QuoteQuoteSo I guess your idea of what makes one person _better_ than another is whether they are in good shape or not. It shows that they care about themselves and their health. Not to mention representing a good example to those who have children. I've met quite a few men with perfect bodies who care a great deal about themselves and their health... and, well, that's pretty much ALL they care about... So I personally find that physical shape is not a very good indicator of how much better one person is than another... But then again, I don't generally think in terms of who is better than who anyway. Most people have good and bad qualities and they all seem to even out; it's more a matter of finding someone whose qualities are compatible with yours. jmpnkramer 0 #85 August 18, 2005 now Valerie, if you are going to quote me get the whole topic in there. You took the statement totally out of context. It was a response to a quote you made. Let's try this again: Quoteyour overall health does not increase if you do 60 mins of cardio a day rather than 30. You will have less fat, but you will not be "healthier." QuoteNot your overall health but your endurance and ability to take more physical abuse will. You are the one who said it does not make you healthier. I just added what I know behind it. .The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" jmpnkramer 0 #86 August 18, 2005 QuoteWTF? How can you make a statement like this without knowing all women in skydiving? I have been around the sport a long time and I am well traveled. I do not know all but I have seen what I have seen. QuoteAs a matter of fact I have never met a woman in skydiving who does do their best to take care of themselves Could not resist busting you out on this one. You forgot to put the not in this statement. Makes it look as though you agree with me. Seriously though. It sounds as though You should be a Leader of women in the sport. Help you sisters out. From your comments you are knowledgeable on proper diet and exercise. No offense but you have not been around that long and sometimes a woman's view of another woman is skewed. QuoteStep down off your high horse and come back to earth. If you're admiring surfer girls so much why don't you find one of their forums to troll. A: I am not on a high horse. NIce try though. B: This "TROLL" word keeps coming up and yet ya'll post to this thread. Again seriously it is not a troll thread but one to make you think. It may not be fully worded properly but my proof reader is no longer here. .The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" jumprunner 0 #87 August 18, 2005 QuoteNice one k - i started writing almost exactly that and then gave up and didn't bother. Most of the surfers i know live life exactly the same as the skydivers i know, the only difference is that they spend all their spare time in the water doing aerobic exercise rather than in the sky. And it ain't just the girls - i was in a lot better shape when i was surfing. Its very hard to maintain that level of fitness. Umm, just getting in here before this thread gets locked. Vallerina 2 #89 August 18, 2005 So, basically, you are not talking about skydivers who eat right and exercise at a level to maintain good health? You are talking about only the overweight skydivers? I'm just trying to understand the point of your post. Most skydivers will never have the athleticism of surfers, but I have no idea of why you are even comparing the two since one is an athletic sport and the other isn't. Yes, people in general should try to stay healthy. People, in general, will not necessarily have better lives if they work hard to have the physical capabilities to run a marathon. It's a goal for some to achieve that level of athleticism. It's not (nor should it be) for most, however. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
sclosoma 0 #90 August 18, 2005 I'm sorry but if your profile is accurate you arn't a real skydiver your just someone that likes to say they skydive. 12 years and only 1300 jumps... its just sad really. I was a surfer and now I'm a skydiver I don't try to be both because you can't be both. Now obviously your just bored and want to start an argument and thats cool do what you need to feel good about yourself and get a little attention... don't claim to be a skydiver, your just somebody that knows how to fall reletive to the ground and throw out a pilot chute."Don't mistake common stupidity for common sense" -Bill Dause
jumprunner 0 #91 August 18, 2005 Hey dude, you think surfer chicks are all that great? Well let me rain on your parade: http://www.sandiegosurfladies.com Bunch of middle-aged feminist burnouts, and they dont like men. So you can scan this website and see for yourself how great in shape these "surfer-girls" are, wrinkles, cellulite, and everything. I guess its okay if you want to hookup with granny, hell even the younger ones look like they got plucked out of an old folks home. Go surfing to surf, if youre looking for better chicks Id stick to skydiving if I were you. I used to see a lot of really hot chicks at Eloy, and thats Eloy. tigra 0 #92 August 18, 2005 Exactly how many jumps per year do you have to make in order to qualify as a "real" skydiver? Just curious since you seem to be an authority. Or were you just trolling too?

fireflytx 0 #100 August 18, 2005 OK I am going to ask a question I don't think was asked in this whole thread .....(sorry if I missed it if it was) I am not going to even get into the argument because I think the two do not have comparison since it is different ways to use you bodies. In every sport there are people in shape and not in shape. Why would you even post such a thing when you know it is a rude generalization to say about people personally in our community?"Well behaved women rarely make history"
