flyangel2 2 #105 July 12, 2005 For those of you that don't know, Philonese is a wonderful woman that lost the battle with her breast cancer about four months ago. Jen, April, and myself were very honored to go to Skydive Monroe and met her thanks to the gals from JFTC out there. Her picture can be found on the calendar on the October 2005 month. Sorry about the sizing, it's a very high resolution picture I have, and when I re-sized, it lost some of the quality, but you can still see her. I must admit, that photo was one of the most emotional shots we did.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. homer 0 #106 August 29, 2005 As you requested Mar I'm whoreing your post just for you. The calendars are great I have already received my two and believe me if you haven't seen them Mary did a great job of putting the calendar together. As I told Mary after getting mine she did a great job of selecting the DICK tease pictures. The women are beautiful and its for a good cause she is supporting. The photographers are some lucky guys and gal. Being a cancer survivor myself it's a trerrible disease that needs all our support to help find a cure. If given the choice to buy a jump ticket or calendar to save a BOOBIE I'll save a boob. Plus the woman are HOT HOT HOT. CSA #699 Muff #3804

wmw999 2,583 #111 August 30, 2005 Same with me. They've been at the DZ since Skyfest, where I've sold one (but the Lou Sanborn committee also donated some money -- thanks guys!). I've sold a couple more, but it seems to be somewhere in between the "girly" and the "skydiving" Of course, I'm not an aggressive sales person, too. And, well, I'm not likely to "fix" that either. On the other hand, it's all in a good cause. I may well end up donating them all to my church at the end of the year -- we assemble gift boxes for seamen who dock in the port of Houston, and calendars in English are a big favorite as an extra. It's tax-deductible that way, too Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. flyangel2 2 #112 August 30, 2005 Again, I'm shocked. When Amy and I were at the WFFC we didn't have a problem selling calendars. I think just leaving them in manifest is a bad idea. If you have them in your hand and walk around I think you'll sell what you have left. I went out to Mile-Hi, a DZ that I haven't jumped at in almost a year, and it was easy for me to sell the calendar. I plan on taking them out to the swoop comp next mouth too. Believe me, people aren't going to hunt you down, but if you have them in your hand, people will buy them.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. moodyskydiver 0 #115 August 31, 2005 Not selling? WTH? I just got happy because I realized with the end of August came time to actually get to use my calendar thats been hanging up for months. (I've been accidentally thinking its Sept for months b/c of it lol) Good luck! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

You might have to get creative, ladies - but keep at 'em. Everyone seems to want to SEE the calendar, are quick to talk about it, but too few are willing to put their money where their eyes are. COME ON folks - get out there and buy these great calendars for a great cause from some great ladies! ________________________________________
mailin 0 #118 August 31, 2005 Selling them isn't hard. They really do sell themselves. Hell, I sold 5 of them just because they sat on my desk at work - and there are only 7 people in my office. The problem is that many people are selling them to the wrong people - they're selling them to skydivers when they're already hammered to death by about 5 other girls who are also selling calendars - Mary saw that reaction when she was at Rantoul. The key is to hit up people outside of skydiving. One very smart cookie did something particularly unorthodox. She didn't set a price for her calendars and instead took donations - she was getting MANY times what we asked her to sell them for, and got all of it from family and friends. There are many ways to do it, you just have to try. JenArianna Frances
