ChasingBlueSky 0 #4 September 1, 2005 No, not yet. But I would like to make a before pic from last year, then after Charlie/Dennis, then something after that, and then after Katrina._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... ChasingBlueSky 0 #7 September 1, 2005 Found one of the breaks in the levee on the 17th street canal. http://ngs.woc.noaa.gov/storms/katrina/24425580.jpg This is literally the line in NO where you are either flooded or not. They released why the wall broke - the waves that came on top of the surge caused water to go over the wall. That erroded the ground at the base of the wall until it couldn't hold the weight of the canal anymore._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... davedlg 0 #8 September 1, 2005 Here's one of the other ones: http://ngs.woc.noaa.gov/storms/katrina/24425095.jpg It's harder to see because it's surrounded by water on all sides but it's in the middle of the picture on the top of the canal.
