new wheels

Recommended Posts

I'm so excited. In a few minutes my new set of wheels will be arriving. After years of wishing I still had a motorcycle, tonight I can stop wishing. A guy at the dz bought himself a shiny new bike and doesn't need his old one anymore... so it's gonna become mine.

I have no idea what year, size or model it is, other than it's a Yamaha cruiser type bike. It doesn't really matter what it is - it's a bike and it's costing me next to nothing! B|

I'm so excited.

We don't really believe you until you post pictures.

Pics tomorrow. It's dark here now. :P

So it's a 1981 Yamaha 650. Speedo doesn't work, gonna need tires and rear brakes soon, looks rough but it runs great. I got a helmet too - and it even fits.

Just have to hope the car doesn't get too jealous... it's gonna see a lot of driveway time in the near future. :D

I can't wait to go to work in the morning. I also can't believe I just said that.

Cool! Congrats, let's go ride;). Just in time for the higher gas prices. Think about replacing the helmet, as there is no way to know if the foam inside has been crushed from an impact.

just remember to take it easy. Don't know when you where last on a bike but if it has been a while see about some refresher training. keep your head up and on a swivel stay safe and have fun nothing like a blast during the week with the open back roads to get you pumped:)

Please make sure to fully inspect that bike before you start hammerin on it.

Gave it a good look over this morning... and then rode it to work. Everything works! It's definitely heavier than what I used to ride; going to take some getting used to for sure.

Fun stuff! B|

Replace that left hand mirror right away, Lisa! I think there's a Cycle Gear near you that has matching replacement pairs, cheap. Not having that mirror is really asking for trouble.

And congrats! I'll be riding my scooter down to Perris on Saturday, very cool!

That rear tyre NEEDS replacing right away, that's just a throw down waiting to happen:|
