birdlike 0 #1 August 8, 2008 Does anyone know of a good source for CR2032 batteries for the Pro-Track? I was at a DZ once and the shop there sold me some way overpriced CR2016s, I think it was, which although not the perfect correct size, did work. (I guess it's the voltage that matters?) I'd like to use the right batteries, but CR2032s seem really hard to find. What sources do you know of, brick-and-mortar chain stores preferred for ubiquity. Thanks! slotperfect 7 #3 August 8, 2008 Pro-Track uses a CR 2330 according to the manual: Search "Battery Replacement" - it's page 37 of the PDF: http://www.l-and-b.dk/pdf/english_protrack.pdf CR2330 can be had at Radio Shack or Batteries PlusArrive Safely John
darkwing 5 #4 August 8, 2008 I searched for them on the internet some time ago and found several sources at very reasonable prices. -- Jeff My Skydiving History

And thank you to the poster who pointed out that it's CR2330s that I need! I don't know why I have these two dead CR2032s sitting around. Must be from something else?Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
dropoutdave 0 #6 August 8, 2008 Be careful when changing the batteries to keep an eye on the 2 gold springs. I recently changed my batteries, knowing that the screws were there but didn't eyeball them when I took the cover off, they must have stuck to the cover and come out even though I was being careful. The result was the pro-track doing absolutely nothing. I sent an email to L&B and they suggested checking the springs, they were both gone, doh! They were kind enough to send me out a new set FOC and a new set of batteries! Didn't really deserve their kindness after being dense like that! ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces...... wildfan75 1 #7 August 8, 2008 I've found them at Walmart and Walgreens. I was just at Walgreens this AM and you can get a 2 pack for $6.99 (here in MN anyway). Right now you can save $3 when you buy 3 packs.

gemini 0 #10 August 8, 2008 Right. I bought some from Interstate a while back. They came in long plastic strips and cost about $2.20 each. Blue skies, Jim

DrewEckhardt 0 #12 August 8, 2008 QuoteDoes anyone know of a good source for CR2032 batteries for the Pro-Track? Digikey sells them for 28 cents each. Act fast, they only have 375,515 in stock. Small orders (under $25 IIRC) have a $5 surcharge but shipping costs are real reasonable. This is the sort of thing you really want to buy from an electronics company that sells gajillions of the things to people building widgets for resale. As a normal consumer product, you might spend a buck or two each for them. At a DZ where they're special, you might spend as much as $4 each.

They have tons of batteries in their inventory, and the batteries are always fresh. Shipping is incredibly fast. They currently have 5026 CR2330 in stock. Part number is P111-ND Yves. I re-read that in the manual when I was verifying the battery size needed. I don't think it was a kindness you didn't deserve: what the heck were they thinking, designing the thing with tiny gold springs that fall out with zero retention as soon as you open the device for a routine battery change?! birdlike 0 #15 August 9, 2008 Would a mod please change the thread topic to reflect the correction to the battery size, please? It should say "CR2330". Thank you! Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
