Word derivation debate

Recommended Posts

We are disagreeing on the derivation of the word Dillhole.

Here is what urbandictionary.com said that had me cracking up:
Wacktard: Somone who is wack, and a retard (not literally). They are stupid and weird, and do odd things at random intervals. Or, someone whom you ever need to insult for any reason at all, they automatically become a wacktard.
1. Say someone calls you a dillhole.
You must call them a wacktard.
You win.

Other sites have claimed that Beavis and Butthead are the originators of the term "dillhole."

Does it have any real meaning?

I don't know what it means but I distinctly remember my brother calling the neighbor it in the 70's. I asked my brother for confirmation on this and he said it was true, it has been around for AWHILE. (dillhole not wacktard or remtard) :D

Also, I would have overlooked this thread and not replied but for the fact that I was up this morning and a That 70's Show episode was on and guess what they were calling each other over and over in it? Yes, you guessed it, dillhole.

Dillhole is old.

Oooooo...a 70's Show fan? I love that show because I can relate to so much of it....:D:D

In our group of friends we had at least one of each character:
Jackie,
Fez,
Eric,
Donna,
Kelso,
Hyde
...and all the others....

I more closely resembled Hyde.
