ACMESkydiver 0 #27 September 5, 2005 QuoteThe best thing my instructor told me was to look at the end of the runway when flaring. Try to keep a few feet above the runway by slowly increasing back pressure (power off) to maintain height while looking towards the end of the runway and the plane will sit onto the runway as speed drops off. Looking at the end of the runway seems to stop you from making to many attitude adjustments that can be caused by the difficulty in judging distance when looking at the runway directly ahead and to the side of you. Worked for me. Good luck. Thanks, that did help me too. Come to think of it, that helped me landing a canopy, too! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. ACMESkydiver 0 #28 September 5, 2005 Just to make sure I understand all y'all... # of landings, you are all saying 'landings in an instructional aircraft', whether your instructor was doing it or you, correct? Mebbe I should have included something about how many INSTRUCTOR HANDS-OFF landings you had... As I mentioned earlier, of 37 landings, I have had one that was all my own.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
