Shotgun 1 #1 September 5, 2005 I was watching Wildboyz last night (I love that show ), and they were doing a Mexican pole dance (like this) that looked really cool. Have any of you ever tried this or seen it performed? Oh, and when I was looking for a picture of a pole dance, amidst all the pictures of strippers that came up... there was this cute picture of a pole dancer: http://hoonhomepage.50megs.com/funny/Pole%20dancer.jpg
 f1freak 0 #2 September 5, 2005 Damn, looks just as bad as bungie jumping....HAVE FUN... ...JUST DONT DIE
 Shotgun 1 #3 September 5, 2005 It's a little bit different than bungie jumping. It starts out with five people on top of the pole - one standing in the center and one on each side of the square thing. The four on the edges are all tied to ropes that are wound around the center. The guy on the top starts doing a little dance and chanting and then the other four guys all fall backwards (but they only fall back a couple of feet at first) - the thing starts turning and their ropes slowly unwind while they are sort of dancing around upside down in the air. When they get to the bottom, they just flip over on their feet and stand up. It looks sort of scary, but it looks like a lot of fun. Here are some more pictures (except these don't have a person in the middle): http://www.wanderglobe.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album13&page=
 happythoughts 0 #4 September 5, 2005 Was this a "weather day" experiment ? I also found out that they are called the Voladores. Here is some more info about the dance and some more pics: http://www.kivu.com/multimedia/mexindians.html And Travis, don't be such a sissy. We went to see the mayan ruins there and they were doing that dance near the entrance. It was really cool to see in person. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
