Chafing Dishes Rock!

I am just now getting started with doing home entertainment. The wife and I figured out that we have plenty of things that make for good home entertaining:

1) A good kitchen;
2) A good backyard with trees to block sun and wind;
3) Ample tables and chairs that we just bought;
4) Barbecue;
5) Kegerator (freakign rocks, man!);
6) Great location; and most importantly
7) An ample supply of good guests.

This weekend, however, we learned that there is one thing that puts home partying over the top - CHAFING DISHES!

I gotta admit, these things rock! We had some pasta sent over from a local italian restaurant to supplement my chicken that I was cooking. It happened to come in a 21 x 13, 2 1/2 inch deep serving pan. This fit nicely into our brand new chafing dish! In our otrher chafing dish, I as able to put my perfectly cooked chicken breastesses (a little O.D.B. lingo there, RIP Dirt McGirt!).

Yesterday, the wife and I were online and found chaferdepot.com, where we spent about an hour looking for all the greatest chafing accessories! We decided to buy some for her mom so she can use them, i.e., let us borrow some more when we want them.

I think that chafing dishes are the freaking second-greatest gift to party throwers ever, after a kegerator!

No, but her friends and associates wonder where they can get one like me. A straight man who dresses like a straight man but can cook and entertain? If she ever dumped me there'd be loads of them trying to scoop me up!
