highfly 0 #6 August 5, 2005 Dont you think it just sounds the same as their last album? Its like a sequel to a movie, same actors, same script just a different cover. I used to like the guys but unfortunatley they just bore me now www.myspace.com/durtymac
chaoskitty 0 #7 August 5, 2005 X and Y sounds just like any other coldplay album. and yes, please dont talk about chris martin when I'm drunk. we all know what happens then. ps- chris's brother just got me thrown out of a bar. bwhahahaaa...

I used to like the guys but unfortunatley they just bore me now I think they're amazing. One of the best bands of the last couple of years. X and Y is a bit (tinsy tiny littlebit) more positive then "Rush of blood" and the single "Speed of Sound" blows me away. In January my lovely mother in law was very ill and my wife and I used to work in the same room as where she was sitting under a blanket. Suddenly she asked what beautiful song she was hearing. I told here it was "The Scientist" from Coldplay. In april we played that song at her funeral and nobody had a dry eye in the room! TIP: Checkout the band Röyksopp with their latest CD: "The Understanding" *** Nice to meet you toot!

napalmboy 0 #13 August 5, 2005 QuoteI think X and Y is more mellow than Rush of Blood..still awesome! Mmm, yeah. To me, "Rush" is more self-focused, and "X&Y" is more about relationships with other people. I mean, it sounds like Coldplay each time, but a little different thematically. Besides, how could anybody here not like a band whose first album was named "Parachutes?" Well, the door was open...

Parachutes is good tooI saw ColdPlay in concert at Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado in June 2003 in the pouring rain. By far, it was the best concert I've ever been to. RkyMtnHigh 0 #19 August 5, 2005 QuoteThat's like Deja Vu. Did you go to see them at Red Rocks? Yup..Awesome! ...after the concert, it was so muddy and slippery trying to get back to our car that my brother and I said WTF, we're already wet, so we ran down the hill and slid in the mud on our stomachs laughing hysterically of course. Next day's car cleaning wasn't so fun though _________________________________________
kenz 0 #20 August 5, 2005 this one took a little more time to grow on me than the other two did... i do love it now... my current favorite track is "fix you".. that song really hit home and i absolutely love the the ensemble of voices (all of which i believe are martins just overdubbed) at the end of the song.... its amazing... i always fall for the epic songs on the album :)"life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
RkyMtnHigh 0 #21 September 7, 2005 Oh brother I can’t.. I can’t get thru I’ve been trying hard to reach you cuz I don’t know what to do Oh brother I can’t believe it’s true I’m so scared about the future And I want to talk to you Oh I want to talk to you You can take a picture of something you see In the future where would I be You can climb a ladder up to the sun Oh I know some..a body and soul..or too Of something that’s never been done Are you lost or incomplete Do you feel like a puzzle you can find your missing piece Tell me how you feel Well I feel like they are talking in a language which I don’t speak They’re talking into me.. So you take a picture of something you see In the future where would I be You can climb a ladder up to the sun Or write a song of body and soul or too Something that’s never been done It’s never been done So you don’t know where you’re going, do you wanna talk But you feel like you’re going where you’ve been before Is there anyone who’ll listen Nothing is really making much sense at all Let’s talk let’s talk _________________________________________
