should we serve beer in our salon

I'm a hairstylist and some of my clients would like to have a beer with there cut do you think it would be "trashy"? We also serve wine. Everyone is over 21. If we did what kind of beer does everyone like, I'm not a beer drinker myself.

I don't think it is trashy at all but don't understand this beverage concept at the salons. I go to a pricey joint to get my hair cut and love the atmosphere there because it is so pretty and tranquil. But I am always confused as to why they offer me a beverage when half the time they are pushing my head this way or that and I couldn't drink it even if I wanted to. It's kinda like a chatty and inquisitive dentist. Makes no sense to me. But hey, if your people are asking for it they must be much more capable at drinking while their chin is resting on their chest than I am so make 'em happy!

I always wanted to open a multi-purpose facility that included a bar, a hair salon, and a laundromat, entirely staffed by attractive lingerie-clad women, located right across the street from a major military base.

OK, so that's not particularly relevant.

You've got a point. I'm never in a position to eat or drink while my hair is being done. Maybe during a pedicure, but drinking a beer while your feet are soaking in warm water doesn't sound all that smart either!

Still, if you are sitting around waiting, and they're already offering wine, coffee and water, why not beer?

My last hair cut was at The Hair Saloon. At the time they were serving beer and planning on a margarita machine.

I've been growing my hair to donate to Locks of Love, so I haven't been back in over a year to find out if they ever got the margarita machine.

I enjoyed the beer, but you do have to remember to keep your finger over the mouth of the bottle when you aren't drinking.
