My 6 Year Old made took her first Freefall!

I spent last weekend with my daughter in Sacremento and while we where there she made her first Freefall! I am soo Proud of her! She even pulled the ripcord all by herself! She liked it so much we went again!

Can you tell I was Happy?

Oh and by the way she is 6

This is similiar to Extreme SkyFlyer ride at the Canada's Wonderland amusement park, which I rode in 1996, and which was what made me decide to try skydiving (I did a tandem the next year).

I know Gulf Shores, AL has one of those rides. Too bad I was already a skydiver when I rode it. I wasn't impressed... Neither was I impressed with the bungee jump tower there too... Skydiving ruined all that for me... hahaha

I rode one of those at Schlitterbahn on Labor Day. I was wearing one of my skydiving shirts and this man approached me and asked me if I would ride it with his two nephews. (they were from New Orleans and were staying with him). They wanted to ride it but were kind of spooked and i guess he figured I would not be scared.

It was really fun to be able to fall like that and not have to worry about doing anything!

Funnily enough, it wasnt long after I went on one of those ( at the American Adventure, in the UK ), That I did a Tandem... Then I got hooked......

Nope just FAT. I can't remember the last time I was able to actually arch on a jump................................................. Wait yeah I do when I go belly with the freeflyers

is it freefall if there's tension on the rope the whole time?

there is not tension on the rope (wires actually) the entire time. when it is pulled all the way to the top of the tower there is a lot of slack, so when you pull the release (ripcord) you fall straight down until the wires catch and then you swing like a mother. its really a lot of fun. i did one in Destin.

As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...

I will have to transfer the Video to the Computer, watching her pull the rip cord just makes me sooo proud!
