pilotdave 0 #1 September 9, 2005 Anyone see it? July 17, 2005. Gotta pay to see it at NYtimes.com (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F70712FA3B540C748DDDAE0894DD404482) but the whole article is at http://kink.fm/index.php/weblog/more/on_the_job_the_pauses_that_refresh/. So which one of you is Peter Shankman? Dave

pilotdave 0 #3 September 9, 2005 You gotta be kidding. Dropzone.com gets mentioned in the new york times cause of a lurker?? How many people have been fired for posting on dropzone.com all day? One of them should really have been mentioned. Dave

One of them should really have been mentioned. You would think! But the article did say he was reading gear reviews. Perhaps he's never even ventured over here into the forums. pilotdave 0 #5 September 9, 2005 Yeah... but it's weird. He hasn't logged in since the day after he registered. The article says "Mr. Shankman... keeps three windows open on his computer during the workday. One actually has work on it. One is on dropzone.com, where he reads reviews of parachutes, and one is on skydivingmovies.com..." C'mon. Don't tell me this was just a one day thing. The article is about wasting time at work. This guy's a time wasting amateur! Dave

They really ought to interview the professionals. We could have put the author in touch with so many better candidates. But I'm willing to bet he's a friend of the author."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
